Palm Springs Area Theater Guide: “Native Gardens” and More

This week at the theater includes “Native Gardens”, “Mon Petit Salon”, “The Art of Music” and more.

Theater companies can submit their theater listings — one per form — to bit.ly/TheaterGuideForm for inclusion in the weekly theater guide in the Sunday Arts & Culture section.

Here is a guide to performance in the Palm Springs area:

“native gardens”

Tania aspires to build a fence and transform her yard into a garden indigenous to the local area, based on its culture and aesthetic. Neighbor Frank has a more conventional idea of what a garden should look like. Courtesy and kindness fade, as the gloves come off and the digging begins. Frank and Tania finally reveal their prejudices towards each other, when a twist of fate amplifies their contradictory view of Native Gardens. All the emotions are on display for the audience to share, as Tania and Frank struggle to reclaim their humanity, despite scholarly judgements. (Comedy)
