Dearborn Public Schools Host District-Wide Spelling Bees – Press and Guide

What: Spelling bee for elementary and middle school students

When: The Elementary School event is March 9 and the Middle School is March 10. Different classes start at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. each evening. (See flyer.)

Where: Fordson High School Auditorium, 13800 Ford Road, Dearborn. Enter through the east side of the building, just west of Schaefer Avenue. Parking is permitted in the student parking lot. Use the entrance facing the car park and closest to Ford Road.

Who: The event is organized by Communities In Schools of Michigan, The Amity Foundation and Dearborn Public Schools.

More information: Students from the 22 elementary schools and eight middle schools in the district competed first in classroom spelling bees and then in school-wide competitions to win a spot to participate in the district spelling bee. This is Dearborn Public Schools’ first district-wide spelling bee. The organization of the event began in October.
